Christina Acker, Insurance Coordinator

Christina joined Spaugh Dameron Tenny in February 2021. In her role, she is responsible for helping clients with anything insurance-related. Christina brings 10 years of financial service experience to the firm and holds her Series 6, 63, and 7 registrations along with her life and health insurance licenses.

Originally from Fairfax, Virginia, Christina moved to Charlotte after graduating from the University of Richmond. She is an overly-obsessed Panthers fan, loves dogs, and lives in Dilworth.

Rachel Adams, Research & Planning Analyst 

Gwen Barr, Practice Administrator 

Gwen joined Spaugh Dameron Tenny in March 2011. She is responsible for human resources, bookkeeping, and overseeing the daily back-office operations of the practice. “We’ve come a long way. It’s great to see how well we work as a team, making a meaningful impact for our clients, community, and each other.”

As a Charlotte native, Gwen enjoys cooking, the beach, being by the pool, and spending time with her family and friends. You can also find her at local football, basketball, softball, and baseball games, supporting her children and community. Gwen and her husband, Gary, reside in Union County.

Alex Belsches, Research & Planning Analyst 

Jordan Bilodeau, CFP®, Director of Financial Planning

As the Director of Financial Planning for Spaugh Dameron Tenny, Jordan applies his academic and practical experience in the creation and maintenance of the firm’s financial plans, as well as coordinating research efforts for products and strategies that may benefit clients.

Originally from Canada, Jordan came to Charlotte on a golf scholarship in August 2011, where he attended Queens University of Charlotte. Upon graduating in May 2015, Jordan immediately pursued a Master’s degree in Wealth and Trust Management.

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys traveling and playing golf. Jordan is also a student of golf course architecture and participates in the creation of the biennial list ranking the top-200 golf courses in the United States. Jordan and his wife, Taylor, reside in Charlotte.

Joannah Long, Director of Marketing

Joannah joined Spaugh Dameron Tenny, LLC in November of 2020 as the Marketing Director. Prior to joining the SDT Team, she worked in marketing and communications for a variety of industries including, mortgage, non-profit, education, and food and beverage. She currently serves on the board of Social Media Charlotte.

In her free time, Joannah enjoys playing soccer with her husband, running, cooking, traveling, cheering on the UNC Tar Heels (her alma mater), and reading with her daughter.

Shanda Mahoney Bortner, Director of Client Service

Shanda joined Spaugh Dameron Tenny in July of 2017. Originally from Burlington, Vermont, Shanda moved to North Carolina in 2009, where she attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in psychology. Shanda holds the Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, as well as both life and health insurance licenses.

Shanda currently resides in Charleston, SC, with her husband Ben and their fur-child Olive, but will be hanging up their swimsuits for hiking boots when they move to Roanoke, VA, in the summer of 2023. Outside of work, Shanda enjoys spending time with her little family outdoors – whether it be at football games, breweries, or dog parks.

Megan Robinson, FPQP®, Investment Coordinator

Megan joined Spaugh Dameron Tenny in July 2022. A Charlotte native, she attended Winthrop University and graduated cum laude with a degree in political science. Megan is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP ®) and holds both life and health insurance licenses.

Outside work, Megan enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and taking her dog, Charlie, for walks. She is a diehard Gamecock fan and enjoys traveling to Columbia for football games!
