“Before joining SDT, I didn't fully appreciate financial planning for what it truly is," Jordan explained. Having gained experience at a boutique wealth management firm, Jordan's primary focus was on designing and implementing client portfolios. Jordan's experience has allowed him to fully "[...] understand the importance of developing a comprehensive plan that brings all aspects of one's finances together, whether through protection, tax, investment, or estate planning."

In his pursuit of becoming a financial planner, Jordan obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designation in 2018. In addition, Jordan earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation in June 2023 to help the firm's business and practice owner clients successfully sell or transition their businesses. In 2026, Jordan became a partner at Spaugh Dameron Tenny.

Jordan plays an active role in shaping SDT’s strategic direction as part of the firm’s leadership team. He works directly with clients and collaborates closely with the firm’s financial planners to find solutions that align with each client’s goals. Jordan also oversees the firm’s planning technology and processes to help drive efficiency, enhance client value, and support SDT’s continued growth.

Originally from Canada, Jordan came to Charlotte on a golf scholarship and attended Queens University of Charlotte. Upon graduating, Jordan immediately pursued and later completed a master's degree in Wealth and Trust Management.

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys traveling, skiing, and playing golf. Jordan resides in Waxhaw, NC, with his wife, Taylor, their two sons, Carter and Quinn, and their Goldendoodle, Aspen.
