Meet Shanda Bortner, the Director of Client Service at SDT. Shanda handles a wide range of responsibilities, including data tracking, client service escalation, business processes/strategy, team management, and compliance audit reviews. Her qualities of efficiency, accuracy, and reliability set her apart, bringing immense value to SDT. Shanda's true passion lies in helping others and ensuring their financial security.
Shanda's journey in the finance world began at Vanguard before finding her perfect fit at SDT. She holds Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, as well as life and health licenses. Previously working in insurance and investments, Shanda has embraced her role as the Director of Client Service, saying, "By continuously finding ways to improve efficiency while streamlining processes, we'll ultimately be more organized as a team."
When Shanda isn't engrossed in her work, she loves to unwind with her husband, Ben, and their dog, Olive. They are thrilled to welcome a baby boy to their gang, due in early 2024. She and Ben enjoy watching sports, indulging in delicious food, and soaking up the great outdoors. Recently, they embarked on a new adventure in Roanoke as Ben pursues a Cardiology fellowship at Virginia Tech Carilion.
