“I’ve always had an appreciation for the value of money, and numbers come easily to me,” says David Belinkie, CFP®, Partner at Spaugh Dameron Tenny. “My dad is a financial planner, so I knew early on that I wanted to work in the financial field.”

After earning his degree in Finance from the University of South Carolina, David moved to Charlotte, NC, to establish his own financial planning practice and later attained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation in 2006.

Today, David works with successful professionals nationwide, including executives, physicians, dentists, business owners, and retirees, helping them navigate financial complexity through comprehensive financial planning and personalized wealth management. “I believe the most effective financial strategies are coordinated ones,” he explains. “When your plan, investments, and decisions work together, you can focus more on what matters most to you.”

David is known for his caring, hands-on approach and for staying deeply involved throughout the planning and implementation process. “I tend to worry about our clients so they don’t have to,” he admits. “Our clients come to us for our expertise but stay because of the way we take care of them.”

Beyond his advisory role, David values education and transparency, ensuring every client feels informed and confident about their financial decisions.

Outside the office, this self-professed football fanatic enjoys time with his wife, Pam, and their two children, Ryland and Hayden. He’s often found at the baseball field or performing with local organizations, including the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, David now calls Charlotte home.
