"Life is a beautiful compilation of cells and soul, DNA and destiny, electrical impulses and spiritual essence."
We sat down to talk with Dr. Carmen Teague about her book, Motherhood, Medicine, and Mayhem, that she says she avoided writing for years. When she is not caring for patients at MMG, she serves as the Director of Internal Medicine for Carolinas HealthCare System Medical Group and teaches medical students as an Associate Professor of Medicine for the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Medicine. You can find Dr. Carmen Teague's book on Amazon.

Water ski camp; we go every year and we love it!
The title just evolved; the working title for a long time was "Embracing Entropy." Entropy refers to a system always moving toward disorder. That's my life! At some point, in talking to publishers and editors, it was determined that no one would really understand the term; in brainstorming with my book coach about key words to search for the book, the three M's came together. From that point, the title stuck!
Who knows! Given the chaos of my life, I would definitely have enough material. I'll just have to see what God has in store on this one!

100%. For me, it's a reset and recharge. It reminds me of why I went into medicine and what it means to "be present" with patients; there are no distractions of EMR task lists, boxes to check; quality metrics to meet; it's just me, a patient and the Great Healer who does all the work anyway!
